Woolies customer is left fuming after delivery driver ‘wrecked’ her front lawn and demands the supermarket giant fix it – but not everyone agrees

A frustrated Woolworths customers has vented her anger online after a delivery driver damaged her front lawn and demanded the supermarket giant fix it.

The woman uploaded two photos of her tyre tracks through her grass and claimed it was torn up by a Woolworths delivery truck.

‘My yard is still wrecked by your delivery truck and it’s YOUR responsibility to fix it. YOU KNOW IT IS,’ the woman wrote.

She also claimed that she had called Woolworths customer service line last week and was promised help within 48 hours. 

‘Well? Where the bloody hell are you?’

Several commenters on the post said the woman was complaining about ‘first world problems’. 

‘Everyone’s lawn has marks like that from the mailman, especially after the rain. It will grow back,’ one person wrote, also suggesting the torn grass could be pressed down using a shovel.

‘Looks fine to me,’ another wrote.

‘First world problems,’ another said.

However one commenter was quick to jump to the woman’s defence and said she shouldn’t have to settle for the damage caused.

‘Why should she?,’ the commenter wrote. The Woolworths driver did the damage. Too many people are not held accountable for the wrong things they do these days.’

The woman told Yahoo News she was forced to take matters into her own hands after failing to hear from Woolworths customer care.

‘We had to fix the yard ourselves because if left any longer the ground would go hard and we would have had a dreadful time levelling it out by ourselves then,’ she said. 

WOOLWORTHS STATEMENT 

A Woolworths spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia the following:

‘We’re disappointed for our customer who has obviously put a lot of care and pride into her garden. 

‘We’ll be following up with our delivery partner and making sure our team resolves this to the customer’s satisfaction.’
