Former Corrie actress pranks her mother by changing her phone autocorrect settings during a trip to Germany – resulting in the cat-sitter receiving some VERY rude messages

A former Corrie actress has revealed how she pranked her mother by changing her autocorrect settings when she went on holiday. 

Nicola Thorp, 30, from Blackpool, tampered with her 61-year-old mother Jan’s iPhone during a trip to Germany, changing the settings so that words such as ‘hi’ autocorrect to ‘f*** off’. 

She went on to share the hilarious results of the prank online, sending Twitter users wild when she revealed Jan had texted the cat sitter  ‘B**** t**s here’ and ‘f*** off’.

Many were left in hysterics over the prank, with one commenting: ‘That’s the funniest thing, I didn’t even know you could do this.’

The two women were on holiday in Cologne when Nicola pulled off the hilarious prank on her mother. 

It’s possible to change an iPhone’s word replacement in the keyboard function in Settings.

Nicola made the most of this by altering the autocorrect function on her mother’s phone, including changing the word ‘Hi’ to send ‘F*** off’ instead.

She also changed the word ‘how’ to f***** flaps’ and ‘ok’ to ‘Can I order a gram off you?’.

The prank resulted in her mother sending the bemused cat sitter a string of hilarious messages. 

Nicola, who is known for playing Nicola Rubenstein on Coronation Street, shared a screenshot of her mother’s messages to the cat sitter on Twitter.

In the post, which has since gone viral with over 45,000 likes, she wrote: ‘I changed my mum’s autocorrect whilst we’re on holiday in Germany. She just texted this to the cat-sitter.’

In the photo a string of Whatsapp messages were visible including things like ‘the sex dungeons of Cologne’ and ‘Will you clean c**** b***** cat litter?’  

After telling her mother she changed the texts back, Jan tried to text others about her trip away but instead she wrote: ‘We’re getting a massive s**g coffee.’ 

Nicola went on to share her mother’s ‘word replacement dictionary’ online, leaving many in hysterics.
