A clip shot from a different angle shows the woman after she has mostly cleared the middle shelves of alcohol.

She is seen reaching for bottles of spirits on the top shelf before smashing them as well.

Police arrived at the store at 2:30pm and arrested her on the spot.

Separate footage shows an officer holding her and carefully leading her across the pile of broken glass she has created.

A third wrote: ‘What’s the world coming to when nobody in the shop can stop a young woman from demolishing the whole store.’

However, a fourth person had sympathy for the woman.

They wrote: ‘The poor girl is probably not well, or desperate for help, she’s not done anything violent and Aldi can afford it.’

An Aldi spokesman said they were unable to comment while the police investigation is ongoing.

Hertfordshire Police have been contacted for comment.
