A professional cleaner has revealed how she removed a permanent pen mark from a couch in just seconds using an unlikely beauty product.
Liesl, from Perth, who runs a cleaning service called Clean-Freak Cleaning Co. shared a TikTok video demonstrating exactly how she lifted the stain from the sofa with hairspray and a microfibre cloth.
She sprayed a generous amount of hairspray on the stained area before she gently rubbed the mark away using the ‘warm damp’ cloth.

Perth local Liesl who goes by the name Clean-Freak Cleaning Co. on social media shared the tip on TikTok, which has since been viewed more than 220,000 times (before and after images pictured)
The incredible hack instantly lifted the pen mark from the couch, which seemed to be made from a synthetic material.
The ‘magic’ tip is an ideal alternative solution to using harmful chemicals when cleaning the home.
In the video Liesl advises to allow the hairspray to soak into the material before rubbing the area gently until the mark disappears.
The hairspray is said to work well due to the alcohol percentage it contains.
