Woodford turns to China to resurrect his career as his third fund is taken over by new managers

Failed fund manager Neil Woodfordhas been in China holding meetings with potential investors

Disgraced Neil Woodford is tapping up investors in China in an attempt to resurrect his career as his third stricken fund was finally taken over by new managers.

Woodford’s smallest fund, the £267million Woodford Income Focus fund, will be taken over by Aberdeen Standard Investments (ASI) at the end of the year.

But even as savers are still picking up the pieces from the collapse of Woodford’s investment empire, the discredited 59-year-old has started touting for business in China.

Woodford and his business partner Craig Newman took a trip to the country to hold meetings with investors who are interested in early-stage companies, Bloom-berg reported, leaving many in the investment industry appalled.
