A royally good Friday! Zara Tindall is all smiles as she takes part in Burnham horse trials on a sunny afternoon in Norfolk

The Queen’s eldest granddaughter was all smiles today as she took part in the Burnham Market Horse Trials in Norfolk.

 Zara Tindall, 37, was wearing a blue jacket, cream trousers and riding boots as she rode her horse and competed in the The Barefoot Retreats.

The royal equestrian who is the daughter of Princess Anne will be at the event all weekend, where she will take part in the trials. 

Based in North West Norfolk the horse trials are open to the public and visitors can see Olympic and Championship athletes competing.

The Burnham Market Horse Trials in Norfolk is a yearly event, which is on all weekend.

Of course Zara isn’t shy at competing at racing events – she was announced as a member of the British Equestrian team for the 2012 Olympic games where she picked up a silver medal.

In 2017 Zara fell off her horse at the Burnham Market Horse Trials – as she tackled a water jump but the horse missed it.

Riders who regularly compete at Burnham Market include Team GB Olympians Zara, William Fox-Pitt, Pippa Funnell and Mary King, and local girl and past European Silver Medalist, Piggy French.

As she waited for her trail to begin the royal rode around on her horse, while it made some funny expressions to the cameras. 

Zara, who is married to ex-Rugby player Make Tindall, is a big racing fan, and has been spotted at both Cheltenham and The Grand National this year.

The couple have two daughters – Mia Grace, 5 and Lena, who is 10 months old. 

The Burnham Market Horse Trials also includes entertainment for children all weekend – with bouncy castle and circus workshops.
