A frightened shopkeeper was left extremely confused when an angry customer began knocking over display items and accusing her family of being involved in ‘mahogany’.

In a now-deleted video posted to TikTok on Monday believed to have been filmed in Queensland, a woman with an Australian accent in jeans and a gray cardigan is seen slapping products off the counter in a furious rage.

When the shopkeeper asks ‘Are you joking?’, the woman leans forward and says, ‘Do you know that maybe your family is involved in mahogany?’

Bewildered by the odd remark, the shopkeeper replies ‘What’?, to which the woman says: ‘Yeah in Ipswich’.

Just seconds later the customer furiously knocks over more display items before storming out of the shop past several stunned customers.

Social media viewers struggled to make sense of the bizarre interaction and if the woman confused mahogany – a type of wood – with another word.

Some suggested that perhaps she meant to say ‘misogyny or polygamy’.

Others thought the woman may have been unwell and not fully aware of what she was saying.

The video, before it was removed, was titled: ‘Just your standard Monday morning.’
