Foodies have gone into meltdown after Cadbury launched a new range of lava cake versions of its iconic Dairy Milk chocolate blocks.

The two-pack pudding kit, retailed for $6 at supermarket stores across the country, includes a ‘light and airy’ sponge with a gooey centre.

The range comes in two different flavours – milk chocolate with a ‘chocolate fondant’ and Caramello oozing with caramel, sending shoppers into a frenzy.

Thousands of people with a sweet tooth are raving about the new product, with many saying they needed the puddings in their lives.

‘Heaven in a packet,’ one said.

Another said: ‘Sweet Jesus come make me fatter.’

While one foodie with an ‘ultra sweet tooth’ said the puddings are ‘amazing’ but she needed to add cream to ‘soften the sweetness’.

Saving time mixing up a batch from scratch, home cooks are only required to remove the pudding from the box and place into the oven or microwave as instructed.
