‘I kind of struggled all day with what I wanted to say about this, or if I shouldn’t say anything, but nothing felt right,’ Lucy began.

She said she didn’t want to ‘post a picture’ because, ‘nothing would do justice to how I feel about Katy Keene, or how I feel about the people involved with it.

‘Truly, one of the highlights of my life,’ she added, calling the show a ‘total joy from top to bottom.’

She added that she has had shows been canceled before, adding each time it happens, ‘it’s just heartbreaking.’

The actress started getting choked up when she said acting is, ‘a job that has broken my heart numerous times. This is bad, this is a bad one.’

She added it will ‘take some time to get over,’ adding she didn’t make the video to talk about how she felt about the cancelation.

‘Long story short, I am just grateful. I am grateful for the role of a lifetime, what a blast, and (creators) Michael Grassi and Roberto (Aguirre-Sacasa) and the cast. You guys are just magic,’ she said.

She also thanked the fans, who have, ‘been there for me and supported everything I’ve done,’ before getting emotional again when she, ‘realized how lucky I am.’

The actress joked, while wiping tears from her eyes, ‘Oh s**t, sorry, some of you are like, and turn this video off.’

She added that she wants fans to continue to watch and support her show, which she thinks is ‘timeless’ even though ‘sometimes things don’t work out.’

‘Maybe it just was not the right time for it? I don’t know, I’m confused,’ Hale said, adding that the show is now HBO Max.

She then asked her fans to ‘be safe’ adding she needs to ‘get off my phone more’ and that she would recommend her fans doing that as well.

‘I just wanted you all to hear that the show is not coming back, and that sucks, but I’ll hold my head high and who knows what I’ll do next,’ she said.

She then apologised for the video being ‘really long’ telling her fans to ‘be safe’ and she loves them.

The initial report from Deadline indicated the show’s producers will be seeking a new home for the show, which may be HBO Max, where the show is currently streaming.
