Despite continuing to film in Spain after massive concern over the coronavirus pandemic, actress Denise Richards confirmed she is finally coming home on Friday.

Over the past three days, the 49-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills received a number of comments urging her to come home ahead of the US’ travel restrictions, which take in effect at midnight.

While the ban does not apply to travelers from the UK and Ireland, or to US citizens, Richards shocked followers by remaining in Europe.

‘Airport in Spain is empty,’ the mother-of-the three wrote on a lengthy Instagram Story over a picture of herself wearing a surgical mask and messy bun. ‘So sad all the businesses all over the world being affected by this.’

She added: ‘The kids with school, many people suffering, and lives lost. Not to mention the anxiety, panic and hysteria. I know masks don’t stop it, but better than nothing.’

She concluded her emotional caption by thanking her fans for being concerned about her safety overseas and said she was praying for ‘everyone’s health’ too.

In addition to sharing beautiful scenery pictures from the country, she also posed with her co-star Jane Seymour sporting crowns and elegant evening wear ahead of shooting on Wednesday.

Staying Spain was a risky move for the actress, as the country is battling the second-worst outbreak in Europe after Italy.

On Friday, the country announced a state of emergency, in the wake of at least 120 deaths and 4,200 people infected there.
