James Argent thanks best friend Mark Wright in throwback snap after ‘drug overdose’

‘I don’t know what I’d do without him’: James Argent thanks BFF Mark Wright in throwback decade challenge as he continues his recovery after ‘drug overdose’

James Argent posted a gushing tribute to his best friend Mark Wright for the Instagram decade challenge.

The reality star, 32, shared a throwback snap of himself and Mark, 32, from ten years ago- just a year before they propelled to fame on TOWIE to mark the start of a new decade.

James told his 771,000 followers ‘I don’t know what I’d do without him’, just weeks after Mark reportedly stepped in over concerns he had suffered a drug overdose.

James wrote: ‘#decade 2010 Two Essex boys who are literally complete opposites in every way & have not much in common but some how are the closest of friends & pretty much brothers! 2019 & I still don’t know what I’d do without him! Love ya @wrighty_ #Marg’.

Earlier this month, Mark was said to be one of the first to rally around him after Arg suffered his reported second overdose.

Paramedics rushed to James’ £1.3million home in South Woodford, Essex where they found the star ‘disorientated’ shortly before friends – including Mark – rallied around in a bid to help him get the support he needs.

Insiders revealed to MailOnline: ‘Mark was at his house for around six hours to support him. This was after Arg had been to hospital and come home again…

‘Arg can’t afford rehab but Mark and other close friends and family are clubbing together to put him in a good place so he can overcome this.’

Mark and Arg – nicknamed ‘Marg’ – were two of the original stars of TOWIE from its 2010 inauguration before Mark left after three seasons.

Despite rarely being seen together in public, Mark has turned up in the midst of Arg’s hour of need to help raise money for the star.

Sources previously told MailOnline: ‘Friends have been visiting James and they hopefully see this as turning point for him in receiving the correct help.’

The scare is a ‘wake-up call’ to James who now ‘accepts he needs professional help’.

The latest health scare comes less than two months after reports emerged police ‘broke into’ his home after he reportedly failed to return his on-off girlfriend Gemma Collins’ phone calls.

Medics examined the reality star and his parents reportedly insisted they could look after him.

Arg has battled drink and drug addiction since finding fame on TOWIE. In 2014 he was suspended from the show after he failed a routine drugs test.

James checked into The Priory and returned to the ITV reality show in 2015.

The TV star spent three months in a facility in Thailand over the festive season in 2016 in a bid to curb his addiction and revealed he checked himself in to a programme in order to get the ‘ongoing support’ he needed.

In August last year, Arg returned to rehab following a split from Gemma in a bid to tackle his demons.
