She celebrated her son Bingham’s ninth birthday on Thursday.  

 And Kate Hudson appeared in high spirits as she left her friend’s pool party in Malibu later in the day with her boyfriend Danny Fujikawa.

The actress, 41, cut a stylish figure in a lace beach robe which she teamed with paisley print trousers.

Kate clutched her bikini in her hand and donned a large straw hat and sunglasses to keep cool in the afternoon sun. 

The actress walked barefoot, while Danny, 34, cut a vibrant figure in bright pink beach shorts, a white T-shirt and a bandana. 

Earlier in the day, Kate prepared a lavish birthday breakfast for her nine-year-old son Bingham, who she shares with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.

The former couple, who split in 2014 after a four-year-relationship, came together to celebrate their little boy with a decadent spread, which included pancakes that spelled out his nickname, bacon and fresh fruit. 

Kate took to Instagram to share a sweet snap of Bingham with Matt, Hudson’s 16-year-old  son Ryder and Matt’s wife Elle Evans, who held their one-month old daughter Lovella on her lap. 

The Golden Globe winner penned: ‘And then he was 9…. On this day I labored first 18 hours and pushed for 4 and a half,’

 ‘The Dr said his heart was as strong as an ox and that I just needed to stay in it and stay strong with him.’

While she felt ‘tired and weak’ during her lengthy labor, she revealed a nurse ‘pulled’ her through by turning ‘up his beautiful heart beat and it was so powerful.’    

‘He came out with a big scream and cry and then we cried together. Both exhausted,’ she told her 12.1 Instagram followers, before explaining she believes every child shows who they are ‘from the very beginning.’ 

‘Bings birth taught me something immediately,’ she noted, listing off how to ‘be patient, to be in tune with him’ and understand he is ‘strong willed and beats to his own strong drum.’ 

Additionally, Kate revealed Bingham likes to control his own narrative, is a strong leader and ‘feels everything.’
