‘We filmed it in quarantine, and of course, it’s all to benefit Feeding America,’ Pratt said, while leading fans to the FeedingAmerica.com/ParksAndRec website.

Pratt added that the entire cast donated their salaries for the special to Feeding America, with Subaru and State Farm matching all donations up to $500,000.

He praised Parks and Recreation co-creator Mike Schur for putting this together, adding that while the ‘circumstances were tough,’ it was ‘really fun’ to put this episode together.

Patrick asked who came up with the idea, with Pratt saying that it was Mike Schur who came up with this episode, though he said there were ‘nine or ten writers’ on the script.

He added the script was ‘hilarious’ and it was like they stepped ‘right back into it’ and there was no ‘rust’ at all.

Pratt said he was sent an iPhone and a number of other equipment to film the episode, adding they ‘all had the same gear’ and they would Facetime with the directors before they shot their segments.

The Parks and Recreation special airs Thursday night at 8:30 PM ET on NBC, after a Paley Center Special honoring the show at 8 PM ET on NBC.
