Married At First Sight star Dean Wells is the first celebrity voted off Dancing With The Stars

Dean Wells was the first celebrity voted off Dancing With The Stars on Sunday night. 

The former Married At First Sight star left the show after a Mad Max-inspired routine with dance partner Alexandra Vladimirov. 

It was not enough to win the audience vote, nor the praise of the judges, including guest judge, choreographer Mandy Moore. 

After performing a tango, the former reality star told host Grant Denyer, ‘That’s the best I’ve got.’ 

It turned out to be not enough, when he faced the judging panel. 

Judge Craig Revel Horwood told the pair: ‘Every time I looked at it, something was going amiss’. 

Dean took being voted out in his stride, saying:  ‘I’ve had the best time ever so I can’t complain. 

‘To meet all these people, the best group of people, we’ve had so much fun and I’m just happy to have been involved,’ he added. 

The eviction comes after fans on Twitter savaged Dean’s debut performance on the show last week. 

On Sunday night’s premiere, Dean’s failed to impress judges Mandy Moore, Sharna Burgess and Tristan Macmanus and earned an underwhelming score of 11, coming in at tenth place. 

He also failed to impress the general public, if social media is anything to go by.

‘I thought nothing could top Dean’s rap from MAFS… And then that dance happened,’ one fan tweeted. 

Another wrote: ‘Dean just looks like a drunk bloke at the pub dancing to impress a girl. Absolutely terrible but got a good laugh.’

‘Bye Dean. Can’t dance at first sight,’ another harshly chipped in.
