Matthew Perry took a nostalgic look back at his hit show Friends in an Instagram post Sunday.

The 50-year-old actor, who played Chandler Bing on the program, posted an image of a billboard in LA advertising the upcoming HBO Max incarnation of the popular NBC comedy.

‘The show that thanks to all of you, doesn’t go away,’ said the Williamstown, Massachusetts-born actor, who was a part of the ensemble cast of the smash-hit series.

The top-rated hit also starred Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer among its core cast.

While all might have seemed peachy at the time for the handsome comic actor, things were in turmoil in his personal life amid personal issues with substance abuse.

‘I was on Friends from age 24 to 34,’ told told People in 2013. ‘I was in the white-hot flame of fame. The six of us were just everywhere all the time. From an outsider’s perspective, it would seem like I had it all. It was actually a very lonely time for me because I was suffering from alcoholism.

‘It was going on before Friends, but it’s a progressive disease.’

The group was slated to reunite for an HBO Max project which was, like most other Hollywood productions, suspended amid the outbreak of COVID19.

Perry last month and his girlfriend Molly Hurwitz split apart last month after a low-key two year relationship, InTouch Weekly reported at the time.

‘It happened very recently,’ a source told the outlet of the actor’s parting with Hurwitz, a talent manager for Zero Gravity Management. ‘It was very amicable, but they have both decided to go their separate ways.’

The actor was past romantically linked to Cloverfield star Lizzy Caplan, 37, from 2006 until 2012; A-lister Julia Roberts from 1995-1996; Yasmine Bleeth in 1996, and Neve Cambell in 1998, according to the outlet.
