Pregnant Lucy Mecklenburgh has fallen victim to trolls after revealing she was opting against choosing a specific birthing plan.
The former TOWIE star, 28, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Ryan Thomas, shared private messages on Instagram on Thursday showing the exchange with a fan, who branded her lack of preparation ‘dangerous’.
Having spoken candidly about her journey to giving birth, Lucy was naturally keen to respond to the comments as she posted a snap of the comment and wrote over the top to insist she was happy with her plans for giving birth.

Lucy is delightedly awaiting her first born’s birth after she announced her pregnancy in August 2019, after Ryan proposed on a trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast in June.
Having been inundated with comments and advice from fans, she seemed dismayed at the negative response to her lack of plan.
The troll penned: ‘Lucy I really love you but your promotion of being unprepared for pregnancy I think is very dangerous…
‘You have a lot of money and support around you. Some people only have themselves and classes and books can aide them massively. I would love you to reconsider how you discuss your lack of desire for a plan.’

Clearly annoyed by the comment, Lucy hit back: ‘Here we go! So I have to lie about not having a birth plan because this lady says so. I have never told anyone what to do, just openly and honestly discussed my pregnancy…
‘I’ve had soooo many people agree with no birth plan as they got upset when theirs didn’t go to plan like most!…
‘I really enjoyed antenatal class last night and I’m glad I understand the process more but still think I will go with my gut/mothers instinct when it comes to the day.’
Proving herself to have a strong support network, she then shared a message from a fan who wrote: ‘Hi Lucy – go with your gut on the birth of your baby. I had a birth plan for my first child and none of it went to plan…
Her love: Lucy lives in Essex while Ryan lives in Cheshire and the mother-to-be confirmed the couple will split their time between Essex and Manchester once their son is born, with the little one having essentials at each home

Lucy lives in Essex while Ryan lives in Cheshire and the mother-to-be confirmed the couple will split their time between Essex and Manchester once their son is born, with the little one having essentials at each home.

Although Lucy is not due to give birth for another few weeks, she has already planned out her unborn son’s love life.
The TV personality is due on the same day as her best friend Lydia Bright and the pair have confessed that they want their children to get married when they grow up.
