Comedian Mel Buttle announces her partner has given birth to their son after secret IVF journey: ‘I’ve always wanted to have kids’

The comedian and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star announced the good news on Instagram this week after keeping the pregnancy a secret.
The 40-year-old revealed on Saturday that her partner of four years carried the couple’s first child, a son, Harry, who they conceived via IVF.

Harry, who is seven weeks old, was born on September 13 at Ipswich Hospital by C-section.
‘It was very emotional. I’ve always wanted to have kids and I would love for him to have a sibling one day’ the TikTok star tells The Courier Mail.
Mel says that she is absolutely smitten with the new arrival and has found motherhood ‘super overwhelming’ in the best way.

‘If I go out to the shops, I miss him and I look at photos of him and when he’s asleep in the other room, I’m looking at my phone at photos of him’ she said.
‘He is good, he’s a chilled out baby, very calm and very good … I am the one with anxiety and nerves and am always thinking “is he okay?”‘
Mel first announced the birth last week, sharing photos of her son with his face covered to social media.

‘Bit of personal news, I’m a mum! As I revealed on @kiis973bne this morning’ she wrote on Instagram.
‘In between shopping for jeans with huge flies, typing LikE ThIs and loving Andre Rieu I’ve been flat out trying to get my seven week old to like @officialblueytv, anyway here he is!’ she added.
