Elyse Knowles forgets her helmet and clutches her iPhone while riding a bicycle in Byron Bay

She’s the Myer ambassador who divides her time between Melbourne and Byron Bay.

And Elyse Knowles enjoyed a leisurely day out in the NSW coastal town on Wednesday alongside her boyfriend, Josh Barker. 

The 27-year-old model risked an accident while riding a bicycle without a helmet, and was also precariously holding her iPhone in one had. 

Elyse looked chic in a yellow playsuit and styled her hair into a high bun – which perhaps explains why she wasn’t wearing head protection. 

Her tanned, toned legs were on display as she cycled down the empty street while her shirtless partner jogged ahead of her.

She showcased her natural beauty by going makeup free, and completed her laid-back look with Birkenstock sandals and aviator sunglasses. 

Despite forgetting his shirt, Josh otherwise dressed appropriately for his light workout in a baseball cap, shorts and sneakers. 

The couple brought along their Weimaraner dogs, Isla, Harlow and Indi, for the ride.

It comes after Elyse and Josh relocated to Byron Bay last year in search of a more environmentally-conscious lifestyle. 

The Block winners are renting a $1.5million bohemian-style home featuring rustic furnishings and high ceilings. 

The sustainable property has three double bedrooms, wide verandas and a self-contained studio apartment attached.

It’s also conveniently located just a 10-minute walk from the beach.

Elyse told Daily Mail Australia several months after moving to Byron that she had experienced quite a culture shock at first.

‘It’s very different [from Melbourne]. Everyone always smiles and always says hello. That was one of the first things I noticed living up there,’ she said.

‘The community is more environmentally conscious. [You see it in the] conversations that people have every single day… talking about the ocean and the marine life.’
